When my worst fears have all come true,
And the foggy nights are charging in,
When none of your hearts catch up to me,
And I think of her in silent reflection,
May time be swifter than the arrow,
And race me back to where I may belong,
I need give a message to my true love,
Pateintly waiting on the shoreline
I lift sails to see the course ahead,
See the shore when the boat is unmoving,
Blanketing my eyes to catch the wind,
Unsure if love would ever catch me,
But the anchor will not be cast today,
If so my heart would surely follow,
Being determined to sail forward,
And remaining not on the roily ocean
So many ships have been crossing seas,
As many are returning home in splinters,
Never again will for me be that life,
That left some drowned and others deserted,
They did not trust the crowsnest,
It aims too far and sees too far ahead,
And can sense storms attacking the bow,
And sail away from clear blue skies
If my lonley heart were to cower away,
I would be left broken and abandoned,
It would be sole the fault of my voice,
Speaking not over the raging tides,
This ocean was built by my tears,
After being rejected through the years,
Now becuase of my love's stable ground,
I am ready to face down my fears

Broken hearts and shattered dreams,
An autumn leaf cast to the waterfalls,
Frozen as a veil never lifted,
Glides like snow through winds without walls,
Caught on branches like bird feathers,
A child's balloon that lost its grip,
The land ripping apart underneath my feet,
into the void they slip
Broken hearts and shattered dreams,
The grindstone that burnt me down,
They are disgarded and I pity who I was before,
But I am still forced to wear this frown,
